Emma Magenty is a trained and experience teacher, performer and musical director. She studied for her BMus, specialising in singing, at The University of Sheffield and has an MMus in Performance and Composition. She has a PGCE in secondary music and teaches at King Ecgbert School in Dore. Emma teaches with the belief that all lessons should be accessible, confidence building and fun. As well as teaching singing Emma also loves to perform. Some of Emma's previous opera roles include Lucy in The Telephone, Mrs Heartfelt in The Impresario, Venus in Orpheus in the Underworld, Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro , Bastienne in Bastien and Bastienne, Gianetta in Elixir of Love, Second Lady in The Magic Flute and Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte.
Hayley trained at the Corraine Collins Dance Studio and later Harlequin Stage School. During her early years she won many medals, trophies and awards competing throughout the country and gained professional experience in pantomimes such as Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. At 16, Hayley joined the UK tour of Beatlemania and at 18 began work as a dancer for Disneyland Paris. Upon her return to the UK, she joined the entertainments team at Mill Rythe Holiday Park on Hayling Island. She has since performed in many shows including: The Seven Year Itch, Whistle Down The Wind, Fiddler On The Roof, The Full Monty, Beauty and the Beast, Hot Mikado, and West Side Story.
Keeley Morton is an experienced teacher, director and performer. She graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a distinction level Masters degree in Performance in 2008. Keeley’s decision to become a drama teacher was prompted by the confidence, experience and enthusiasm that drama developed in her. Her teaching aims to develop confidence, expressiveness, self-awareness and creative thinking, all transferable skills for later in life. Keeley has worked as Director of Drama for over eight years. During that time, she directed a huge number of plays and musicals with great success. Amongst others she has directed Little Shop of Horrors, Guys and Dolls, Sweeney Todd, The History Boys, A Midsummer Nights Dream, A Christmas Carol. Keeley has also worked for an exam board as an expert examiner giving her further pedagogical knowledge and expertise.
Gavin Magenty is a Director, Singer and Singing Teacher based in Sheffield. Having studied towards his MPhil in Opera Direction and Performance at Sheffield University in 2006 he has since gone on to direct and produce for many professional and amateur companies across Yorkshire and Lancashire. He has directed for Sheffield City Opera, Leeds Gilbert and Sullivan Society and his own professional chamber opera group, Steel Opera.
